Ten Miles Wide

(2008)

Recorded at db Digital Studio in Chandler, AZ minutes away from my home, late 2008. This is a "best of" compilation with a few new songs.

All songs were re-recorded for the purpose of selling one CD at shows. Some songs that were redone include accompaniment by other local AZ musicians, Hans Olsen (harmonica), Ivan Greathouse (dobro and pedal lapsteel), Brad Dilli (harmonica), Billy Parker (Mandolin). My wife sings back up vocals on 2 tracks. All songs were recorded live with over-dubs by the guest musicians.

Recorded in Loma Linda, CA and Flagstaff, AZ on a 4-track tape machine (Yamaha MT4X).

Some songs were recorded in a house where I was renting a room and others in motel rooms in Flagstaff while on tour.

(2005)

Recorded in a pro home studio in La Jolla, CA, Summer and early Fall of 2005 while staying on my brother’s sailboat.

Most songs were written while traveling - Boulder, CO, Redlands, CA, Tempe, AZ. Local musicians were used.

Recorded live in my house in Mesa, AZ on a DAT machine months after the band I was in for 7 years broke up (Jones Fracture).

Some songs were meant for the band and some were written hours before recording them.
